Attorney Biographies
Today, members of the firm are active in community organizations and governmental affairs. Current and former members of the firm have served in elected and appointed positions, including South Bend Mayor and Common Council, State Election Commission, Judicial Nominating Commission, Judge of the St. Joseph Probate Court,  Representative to United States Congress and United States Senator.

James A. Masters M.B.A., J.D., University of Notre Dame, 1978 Mr. Masters has been a member of the firm since 1980 and is President of the law corporation. Mr. Masters' areas of practice include business, corporate, and commercial law, real estate transactions, and probate and estate planning. A substantial part of Mr. Masters' practice is devoted to business and commercial litigation, including defense of condemnation cases, and real estate transactions, including zoning and other land use planning issues.


Vincent M. Campiti J.D., Valparaiso University, cum laude, 1997 Mr. Campiti became a member of the firm in February of 2007. His areas of practice include personal injury and defense litigation, family law and criminal defense. Mr. Campiti is a frequent lecturer at continuing education seminars on topics concerning personal injury and insurance litigation.



Reinhold Schroeder J.D., Valparaiso University, cum laude, 1993 Mr. Schroeder is counsel to the firm. He has been a certified public accountant since 1978 and is a Master of Taxation (DePaul University, 1985). Mr. Schroeder's areas of practice include taxation, business and corporate law, and estate and personal financial planning. Mr. Schroeder is admitted to practice law and is licensed as a certified public accountant in both Indiana and Michigan. Peter J. Nemeth J.D., Columbia University, 1963.  Mr. Nemeth returned to the firm as counsel after serving as St.  Joseph County Probate Court Judge for 20 years.   Mr.  Nemeth has served as a deputy prosecuting attorney, President of the South Bend Common Council, and Mayor of the City of South Bend, Indiana.  Mr.  Nemeth’s practice is in the areas of  real estate development, business law, wills and estate planning.  Mr. Nemeth is a registered civil mediator.  



A. Robert Masters J.D., Loyola University - Chicago, cum laude, 2008. Mr. Masters became associated with the firm in 2012, after serving four years as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago. Mr. Masters’ areas of practice include commercial and corporate law, employment litigation, zoning, land use, eminent domain, property tax appeals, and other real estate matters, and probate and estate planning. A South Bend native, Mr. Masters holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Notre Dame. He serves his country and community as a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 33-2 in Michigan City, Indiana. He is licensed in Illinois and Indiana.


Peter S. Nemeth J.D., Indiana University - Bloomington, cum laude, 2001.   Mr. Nemeth is counsel to the firm. He is a native of South Bend and a lifelong Indiana resident. Mr. Nemeth is the Indiana Director of Governmental Affairs for Comcast. Mr. Nemeth formerly served as Chief Legal Counsel to the Indiana Speaker of the House, Chief Counsel to the House Democratic Caucus, and Parlimentarian of the Indiana House of Representatives. Previously, Mr. Nemeth worked in the litigation department of a large Indianapolis law firm where his practice focused on products liability, commercial contracts, and toxic torts.
